Hi everyone. Today I'm going to be talking about (coming of age). I think that means of us getting older and starting knew lives.
blog post #2: (choose a dynamic character) -- The dynamic character. I am talking about is from outsiders. Pony-boy was part of a gang called the greasers but he werent mutch of one he wanted to be a successful life by finishing school. But his brothers Darry and Soda. Soda is out of school and he is working at a gas station. He has a girlfriend but it doesn't mention her name in the book. Darry works for a roofing place in the center of town and does his best to fend for his brothers for everything. Two-bit and Dallas are the type in the gang who are always geting in trouble wanting to feel that rush you get when your being chased from the cops because you robbed a bank or pulled a knife on someone because they were threatening u that was the life of pony boy and the greasers.

Pony boy got home one day in the book and he was late. Darry got really mad at him and then he slapped him in the face pony by ran away with Johnny Cade to a playground. Where the rested for a few minutes.then the socials came and tried to beat them up. They were drowning Pony boy and Johnny stabbed one of the socials in the stomach.
Pony boys goal in life is not to become a greaser its to finish school and have a successful grade to go to a good college. And the reason why is because he doesn't want to be beaten up by one of the socials and he doesn't want to carry a knife on him twenty four seven. And he doesn’t want a criminal record because his is clean most of the other greasers records are all robberies and pulled gun witch Pony boy doesn’t want.
An event that motivated Pony boy to achieve this goal was. Johnny stabbed a social and Johnny got beat up by a gang of socials.
No one likes the greasers because they robe stores and hurt people and try to pick fights with people. and it made Pony boy think that he should be a greaser.

The main conflict in outsiders is Ponyboy trying to not be beaten up by the socials and to not turn out like Darry, quitting school and Soda working at a gas station. He wants to get through school, finish college and leave the hood to become successful in life. But unfortunately, he can’t because every one hates the greasers because they always rob stores and pull knives on people for people teasing and messing with them. He always gets put down and turned down by people and girls. Ponyboy thinks he can’t get a good grade in school because he's a greaser and people don’t like them. The socials are a preppy type of gang that are bigger but not tougher than the greasers. One of the events that Ponyboy encountered was walking down the street when a gang of socials came up to him and said, “Need a haircut greaser?” From the sound of the author, Ponyboy sounded scared because of what the socials said to him about cutting his hair off. A social jumped onto Ponyboy and pushed him down with his knees on his arms. They all held him down and when Ponyboy struggled, the socials slugged him a couple of time. They were about to take a clump of hair off Ponyboy when, Darry and Soda came running up behind them and punched the socials around. They ran away and drove off “fast”. Darry and Soda brought Ponyboy home and asked if he was okay. Ponyboy said is cheeks and his head hurt badly. That’s part of the reason why Ponyboy doesn’t want to stick around and live this life style anymore.
Another reason why Ponyboy wants to leave the area is because Johnny Cade was beaten up by a gang of socials. Johnny has knife cuts that were deep in his chest and arms. He had bruises all over his face and blood dripping from his mouth. Johnny is a good friend of Ponyboy so this hit him right to the heart.
So Ponyboy is trying to stay in school, not be beaten up by the socials and not turn out to be like his brother and the rest of the greasers.
